This program is distributed as ShareWare. Once you have
tried it out for a limited period (30 days) and continue to
use it on your BBS you are required to Register it. By
Registering you will also receive a much improved version
with several added features.
Championship Craps is an On-Line program designed to be run
as a Door from 4 of the Major BBS packages. Players are allowed
to log on once per day and are given $250 to wager with
a maximum of 25 bets per day. Once a bet is placed the game
generates odds which range from 1/1 to 20/2. The dice are then
rolled and either the player wins (7 or 11), loses (2,3,12), or
is assigned a point to make. Once a point is assigned, the player
continues rolling until either the point is make or a 7 comes up
and the player loses. Odds of making a point are the same as if
a player were actually rolling two 6-sided dice. The player may
continue making bets until either broke, reaches the 25 bet
maximum, or just quits. After 25 bets the player goes to a super
round where (s)he must bet at least half of their score. Odds for
the super round are 2 to 20. The score reached is carried over each
day.
If a player goes broke then the next day the door is entered by the
player, he/she will again start with $250. Scores are not carried
over to the next month. Instead all players again start with $250.
This door has not been designed to simulate the type of dice games
played in the Casinos of Vegas, Reno, etc. Instead the rules are
more in keeping with your typical BBS door game, ie. high scores,
ease of play, etc.
Disclaimer:
-----------
Use this program at your own risk. Any claim arising
from the use of this program will NOT be honored. This program
has been tested on three different computers and is run as a
Door on Broad River Emporium without any problem whatever.
However that doesn't mean that it could not possibly harm your
equipment or BBS. The final Decision to use this Door on your
BBS is your Responsibility.
Distribution:
-------------
You may freely distribute this program as long as no
modifications are made in to any of the files. You may not
decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer any files
contained in this package.
Sysops are encouraged to post the ShareWare Version of
this program on their BBS's as long as No Fee is charged
explicitly for obtaining Championship Craps Door. You may convert
the Archive package of files to the format your BBS supports,
ie. .ZIP, .ARC, .LZH, .ZOO, etc. as long as ALL Files from
the original archive are included.
No Fee may be charged for copying or duplicating this
program without the Written permission of the Author.
Hardware & Software Requirements:
---------------------------------
To run this program you will need a copy of DOS 3.0 or
later and an MS-DOS compatable computer. You will also need
BBS software that generates Door.Sys, Callinfo.BBS, DorinfoX.Def
or PCBoard.Sys.
Instructions and Installation:
------------------------------
Championship Craps Door will now work on any BBS that supports
Wildcat's Callinfo.BBS, RBBS & QBBS's Dorinfo.Def, GAP's Door.Sys
and PCBoard14's PCBoard.Sys. Locking the ComPort at speeds up
to 19200 is also supported. The .CFG file for ALL doors written
by Brian Kelley have changed significally from previous versions.
This was done to add support for more features and also decrease
the confusion of having Blank lines. Edit the enclosed .CFG file
example or use the included AutoCfg program included to generate
a new one. You will need a DTR patched BRUN40.EXE (INCLUDED)
either in the door directory or in your path to run this door.
To test the door from the DOS prompt type:
CHCRAPS LOCAL
Listed below are sample .CFG files. Modify them to your setup.

Trouble Shooting
----------------
If you have problems getting this door to work, the following
is a list of problems that have occured repeatedly in the past.
1. Door will NOT run, either remote or local.
Ans. A copy of Brun40.EXE is either NOT in Door Dir. or path.
2. Door will run locally, but drops carrier.
Ans. Use the Included DTR patched copy of Brun40.EXE.
3. Door attempts to run but returns error of Bad file name number
in Line 4, Line 5, Line 8, Line 9, etc.
Ans. Usually the line number directly corresponds to the line
number in your .CFG file.
Line 4 normally means that the path to Callinfo.BBS,
Door.Sys, PCBoard.Sys, or Dorinfo1.Def are incorrect.
Line 5 putting WILDCAT on this line but using Door.Sys
as the file to look for in line 4, etc.
Line 8 usually means that you have the Com port locked at
a speed higher than 19200 or something besides NO.
Line 9 error usually means that there is either a comment
or something that doesn't belong in .CFG file. -Brian Kelley
